Just listened to the new trivium cd.....or should I say metallica cd. Fucking sucks my balls. I hate this cd and I absolutely love their first cd so its just that much more annoying. Honestly does their label not have anyone intelligent working for them? I wish I could work for roadrunner or nuclear blast or another one of those labels and just be like hey guess what guys I fucking love you, I really do but um this cd blows. We're not putting shit out till you fix it. If you don't have any inspiration go on a trip to africa, fuck some nasty girls and get your heart broken, get married and get your heart broken. Go to Iraq I don't care just come up with something new and loud. Its metal...its not that fucking hard, most of us are adrenaline junkies and honestly if you make my balls tingle then ur cd passes.

But no of course not....have to settle for metallica's long lost crappy album that sounds fucking generic. Godamnit trivium you dirty sluts would it be so hard to come up with something new?



BUT! on to bigger and brighter things, Killswitch Engage's new album....FUCKING great love it to death. Granted its not as heavy and is super melodic which well....worries me a bit but still a good solid effort. Or maybe its just that its so much better then Trivium's that it just overshadows it like a giant. But seriously this album is a well put together album with some really interesting stuff on it. They are a little breakdown happy on the album and do it in almost every song but since most of them are really good its easily overlooked and as far as the lyrics I am still trying to delve through them to get a real feel as to where the music is coming from. Some of the guitar solos are really really good and I think my favorite two off the album have got to be "eye of the storm" and "daylight dies" which presumably is the title track. Fucking good stuff gotta love it. There none of the signature guitar squeals to my knowledge which is dissapointing but I suppose I understand why. And there aren't any really down tuned melodies everything seems pretty upbeat which is consistent and cool coming from a metal band honestly.


And on a final note it seems like of the metal bands I know and love it seems like lately the efforts have been super shitty shitty crappy crappy and its really fucking frustrating. Even people you think to be musical rocks, the bands you can count on to put out a good album are faultering as of late. Sacrament from LoG is horrible. And I thought the rookie Trivium would pull through but no....fucking christ so now they have shitty metalcore fans coming to their shows and a bad album...aw well they still have time but its fucking dissapointing. Of course in the back of my mind I just think of all the metal bands that are awesome that I will never hear because they will never get signed because people don't support them. Damnit....oh well if I were their manager it would be taken care of
